NDSM is a joint project of over 50 religious communities of all denominations. It helps low-income people in its 20-zip code service area by providing a food pantry, medical and dental services, clothing closet, ESL classes, assistance in applying for benefits, and job counseling. Unity of Dallas volunteers will be trained to serve in all these areas, and we will conduct periodic food drives to help replenish the food pantry.
Members of our own congregation who find themselves in need of assistance are eligible to receive services, as are people who walk through our doors seeking assistance.

North Dallas Shared Ministries (one of our outreach partners) recently launched a new initiative Gleaning for Groceries among their Covenant Congregations to meet the increasing demand for food assistance. It is a super simple and not expensive way for us to be a better partner with them.
