I get to make the precious decision
As to how my life will appear
Rather it will be one of drudgery
Or one that will it be joyful and dear
Only I can translate my daily feelings
To fit my lifetime needs
For many might be those folks
Who will make light of my Spiritual deeds
It may not always be easy
However it is always worthwhile
Especially when you realize you have the power
To make other people smile
Once we have embraced that fact
That it is only ourselves that we can change
Then we can make more magnificent moments
During the years that still remain
We can pray for those who are in need
And hope that they will do well
Meditate on their human ability
To escape from that depressing spell
Give them a wave or throw them a kiss
Open the door and welcome them in
Do all of those gestures with love
And make their day a win-win
What does it cost you
And who knows where your efforts will go
All because of those brief few seconds
That you allowed your inner heart to glow
