Are You Ready?

I needed to hear what I heard

On this particular day

For it put a new light on my path

To show me a better way 

The words were pure and simple

For it seemed like they were composed just for me

Giving my heart new inspiration

To be who I have always longed to be 

So why not listen for those wise messages

That sound like they were intended for you

And allow them to permeate your soul

Doing what they are intended to do 

Is it the sacred words that were spoken?

Or was it just my state of mind?

That something that sparked my ordinary day

And gave me permission to let it shine 

It is my ongoing wish

That this mood will be mine forever

For I’m happy to spend the rest of my life

With this attitude being my constant endeavor 

It all goes back to that old adage

That it takes more muscles to frown

Much better to put on a big smile

And spread some of your good cheer all around 

So are you up for that simple action?

That could change your life in so many ways

And are you truly prepared for the rewards

That will be yours each and every amazing day
