The Evolutionary Council is the heart of the mission-centric church.
Key Responsibilities of the Evolutionary Council:
- Vision setting and alignment
- Leading and Supporting Cultural Transformation: Define our culture, determine how or if it needs to change, and reevaluate to ensure movement in the right direction.
- Oversight of mission-centric practices – for 2025, Quantum Living Classes, Membership Practices and Spirit Groups
- Leadership Development and Self-organization – What kind of training do we need? How do we develop new leaders?
- Feedback and Improvement – What works, what doesn’t, how can we make it better?
- Spiritual and Emotional Anchors for the church: We drop the drama and learn to be authentic, practice nonviolent communication and understand our triggers.
The council’s size, structure, and roles are tailored to align with the organization’s goals and needs. Membership may include:
- Minister(s): Provide spiritual guidance and ensure the council’s decisions align with the community’s spiritual principles.
- Board Members: Offer governance oversight and ensure the council’s initiatives align with the organization’s bylaws and policies.
- Lay Leaders and Active Members: Bring diverse perspectives from the congregation, representing various facets of the community’s life and activities.
