Where do you go when you pray?
And to what cause does it apply?
Does it satisfy your inner loving soul?
As well as those sweet moments when you cry
Who are the recipients?
That so justly deserve your sacred wishes of being well
And do they know of your kindness
Even though you may never tell
What of the many cultures or races
That you request that they find eternal peace?
And do you ever wonder in your heart
How many of these human beings that you actually reach
How does it impact your day?
When you’ve chosen to be kind to others
A sincere affirmation that you truly care
For your many sisters and brothers
It truly cost you nothing
Except a few hours of your time
Just quietly speaking to yourself with the knowledge
That you made somebody else’s existence divine
Think if each person on our planet
Honestly concentrated on World Peace
And consider the number of likeminded folks
That we could affirm to reach
What if for just one special Holy day
We just stopped and focused on our faith
It makes me ponder what a year could birth
And what a world-wide difference it would make
