Going Through the Storm

Early morning and the sky begins to lighten as the sun rises in the east with its colorful changing hues. There was rain all night and a cloudy sky. Now, the ground is wet and water drips off the leaves. 

As the sun rises, we begin to see our world more clearly: the sky has no clouds, the birds sing, rabbits play, and squirrels scamper up and down the trees. The ground is wet from the rains but the storms are over, and we can see clearly now, as the sun rises higher and higher into the sky. 

Regardless of where you are in the world, the sun is always shining above the clouds—even at night, the sun is still there with its blazing light. We can’t see it with our eyes but we know it is still there. 

This is the story of our light as well, and when we begin to understand this, more clearly each day, we will remember that our light will always be there, no matter what is in front of us. We understand God in his oneness and love as our light, always there with us no matter which side of the earth we are on, or how dark the clouds may be. And we are one with him. 

The storms will pass, the earth will spin. The light shines on. Your light with all its love, warmth, joy, and peace is still with you and is you. Remember this today and keep it in mind all day. No matter what form the clouds take, they are all the same and they all have one resolution, and they will pass by. 

Today, know an eternal light shines within you, and within all your brothers and sisters, and within God. It will never change, no matter the storms of the night and what is going on in your life, you will move through it and be stronger, because you are love, and you are light
