Divine Sisters of Unity
10:30 am—3rd Saturdays
A women’s group that supports one another each month through prayer and activities that strengthen and deepen our connection to our divine-ness. We reach out to our church and community with projects throughout the year (Genesis Women’s Shelter and Toys for Tots) along with providing programs each month for our members. Programs are led by a different member each meeting. (Unity lessons, creative art, dance and movement, massage, etc.) Potluck lunch afterwards. Join us for our next meeting on June 17.

We will explore various breath, sound and meditation techniques each week. Enjoy the many benefits of meditation such as stress reduction and mental clarity. We will also address ways to deal with resistance to it.

What exactly, is the Law of Attraction all about? Why does it sometimes seem to not work for those who promote it? After all, isn’t this Law the same as Unity’s Law of Mind Action, “Thoughts in mind produce after their kind”? Or with time, has the original emphasis and definition been changed? Let’s find out together. More importantly, let’s test our understandings in the real world.
Visitors, guests and late arrivals are always welcome. Within minutes you will be current and able to contribute. The facilitator is Gary Thornberry, LUT.
Spiritual Sewing Sweeties
1 – 4 pm—1st & 3rd Wednesdays
Due to a new project, we are currently the Spiritual Snipping Sweeties and are working on a project for the Sole Hope organization. Sole Hope uses preventive methods to combat diseases that enter through the feet for individuals in impoverished communities.
If you can trace and/or cut fabric and have time to lend to a great cause, just show up! It’s very easy and fun too. (Please bring sharp scissors if you have them). We cut shoe patterns from donated denim and send it to the Sole Hope group. They then make shoes, using old tires for soles. This is a come and go project—any time from 1 to 4 on the designated Wednesdays.

Bring a lunch and join us while we get to know each other and share our prayer requests for the month. The group is open to all women, and each will leave knowing that her prayer circle will stand in faith with her for the coming month. The next meeting is March 21.

This group has been meeting at Unity of Dallas for more than 20 years. David Stine has been facilitating for about 15 of those years. This is an ongoing discussion group focused on the lessons and text of A Course in Miracles. No beginning, no homework, no commitment. Just show up. We have brand new folks almost every week, as well as folks who have been studying ACIM for 20+ years.
Helping Parents Heal

Helping Parents Heal is dedicated to assisting parents who have lost a child, giving them support and resources to aid in the healing process. Helping Parents Heal is open to all parents, grandparents and adult siblings as well. Shambhala Buddhist Meditation
7 – 9 pm Tuesdays
Meditation is a natural state of the human mind – at rest, open, alert. The practice of meditation has been taught for over 2,500 years as a vehicle for realizing the beauty and magic of the ordinary world without aggression or manipulation. In our weekly meditation sessions we offer sitting and walking meditation, a book reading or talk given by a certified guide or instructor and a group discussion. Free meditation instruction is available; however, we ask that you please arrive at least five minutes early. You do not need to bring anything with you. There is no dress code, but you should be comfortable sitting for a period of time.

Underearners Anonymous is a twelve-step fellowship of men and women that follows the tried-and-true twelve step process developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. Underearning includes many things, such as earning less money than we need to provide for our needs, present or future; the inability to fully acknowledge and express our creativity and competencies or underachieving, no matter what we make. In UA, we come together to help ourselves and one another recover from underearning.
6—7 pm Wednesdays—$10 per class
Eileen Birnbaum teaches this yoga class that is open to everyone and suitable for all levels of experience. We focus on breath and gentle stretching. Please dress comfortably.
